What is the cadastral value and where do I find it?
It is the administrative value of your house, and it is on the IBI bill.
It is not what you paid for the house, nor what it is worth on the market today. It is an administrative value, and several obligations use it at once.
How it differs from the price
The cadastral value is set by the Catastro on its own criteria — land, construction, age, use — and is usually well below the market price. Being lower is neither an error nor an advantage: it is a different scale.
Where it lives, and why the revision date matters
It is on the annual IBI bill issued by your town hall, and it can also be consulted at the Catastro's electronic office using the cadastral reference.
It matters whether that value has been revised and in which year, because the imputed-income calculation depends on it. Using an old value without checking is one of the commonest mistakes.
