Guardamar del Segura is a municipality in its own right, in the province of Alicante, with its town hall in the town itself. It is a few minutes from Rojales, and one of the areas we reach the same day.

We are in Rojales. Here we drive over, the same day if needed.
What catches people out here
Administratively, little: Guardamar belongs to the Valencian Community, its holiday-let register is the Valencian regional one and its town hall is where you would expect. Along with Torrevieja it is one of the areas in this group with no trap in it.
What is worth knowing is that much of the coastal stock is occupied seasonally: houses shut from October to May, post piling up, residents' associations that notify by letter, and deadlines that run just the same with the shutters down.
