An empty house should not use water. If the meter moves when nobody is there, there is a leak, and you know weeks before the bill arrives. All it takes is someone going, reading it and comparing.

Why this matters now
The electricity meter already reads itself: every domestic electricity meter in Spain has been remotely managed since the end of 2018, and your usage shows in the distributor's customer area without anyone going to the house. The water meter does not: it sits in a ground box or on the facade, someone has to look at it, and the bill comes in periods of several months. A small leak can run for a whole period before you see it.
What this service is NOT
We read and compare; we do not repair. If there is a leak, we alert you with both photos and coordinate the plumber you approve, who invoices you directly. We do not file complaints with the water company on your behalf, but we leave the file ready with dated readings. And we never ask for or keep your electricity distributor login.

What if the meter is inside the house?
Then we need to go in, and you need to trust us with a key. On most urbanisations it is outside, in a ground box or a cabinet on the facade, and all we need is to know which one is yours: we identify it the first time with your meter number.
Why is looking at the bill not enough?
Because the bill arrives late and groups several months. Today's reading compared with last month's tells you whether the house used water while empty; the bill tells you how much you will pay for what has already been lost.
And if I already have the house visits?
Then the reading is already included: every visit covers the meters. This service is for those who do not want visits but do want to know whether the water is running.
